The History... list of the Device menu is a log of events stored in a device template. History events can be entered manually by the user or may sometimes be generated automatically, such as during export of a layout.
To add an entry into the history log, double-click on the Add... item at the top of the list. This opens the Add New Event dialog shown below. The new event will be time-stamped with the current date and time and entered into the history when the OK button is pressed. It is not possible to delete or edit events from the GUI, but a device template file can be edited in a text editor to make changes if necessary.
